Chanel's Resort 2015 Runway Show

Chanel is synonymous with luxury, so it's no real surprise that the 2015 Resort show was held on it's own private island in Dubai. And it was, indeed, fabulous. We can't imagine what it's like backstage with all the magic: the beautiful clothes, the dazzling jewelry, to catch a glimpse of Karl Lagerfeld. Le sigh. One day maybe! Tweed is one of the Chanel staples and updated versions for the warmer weather are both beautiful and completely wearable. From black and white to multi-color, we're dying to own a Chanel tweed now more than ever.

Karl Lagerfeld never shies away from drama and personality as is evident in every runway show he has ever put on. Resort 2015 was no exception, multi-color and sheer? We can see these looks popping up at awards shows everywhere.

Prints made a bold statement but were kept sweet when paired with sheer and textured white separates. We're swooning over the center look.

The dramatic, look-at-me clothes from Chanel's 2015 Resort Collection needed a makeup look just as seductive and confident: enter inky lids with double winged liner and a hint of luxury in the form of gold leaf at the tear duct. We're rocking this look for an upcoming gala.

Though this specific Les 4 Ombres in Reve d'Orient eyeshadow quad isn't available until July 2014 we got creative and improvised with colors that are close. Lets just say you're guaranteed to turn some heads.

Try Chanel's Pop of Color for Your Go-To Summer Makeup Look

When the seasons change, it's time to switch up your makeup as well as your wardrobe. When summer rolls around, consider being bold...in a sheer way. Chanel's Summer 2014 Makeup Collection launched a few weeks ago and is full of pretty lip glosses and coordinating nail colors, sparkly cream shadows and a few surprise pops of color for the eyes. The palette of orange, pink, purple and bronze is a perfect match for the soon-to-be sweltering heat (did we mention the mascara is waterproof and will stay put on even the most humid of days?).

Our favorites? The cream shadow in 'mirage', a shimmery bronze, paired with the bright bronze waterproof eyeliner and the purple mascara (don't worry, it's subtle). And to top it all off? A swipe of lip gloss in 'happy', a sheer bright pink that won't get sticky or goopy. Head on over to your local Chanel counter and try on the colors for yourself!

Chanel Summer 2014 Makeup Collection - Cream Shadow

Chanel's cream shadows are perfect as a base for the rest of your eye makeup but they also look great by themselves. The Summer 2014 Collection features two very sparkly versions - 'uptopia' (far left), a light purple, and 'new moon' (center), a red-brown that really catches the light. Our favorite is 'mirage', a shimmery bronze that looks perfect with a tan.

Mascara doesn't always have to be black - Chanel opted for a fun summer color in 'violet touch' which is a subtle purple shade that helps lengthen and separate your lashes while the waterproof eyeliner in 'ambre dore' is a gorgeous shade of bronze that looks great by itself or when layered over a black or brown liner.

It wouldn't be summer without lip gloss and the best part about these is that there's no sparkle or shimmer - just sheer pops of color that are beyond flattering. Great by themselves or when paired with your favorite lipstick, these are sure to be one of the most popular items in your purse.

Summer is the perfect time to update your nails too! Chanel has re-invented the French manicure: try painting your tips in a fun color (we like 'tutti fruti' (center) or paint a coat of white all over your nail and then add a second coat in color to the center, leaving a white border for a fresh update ready for the beach.

Audrey Hepburn: A Look Back at One of Hollywood's Most Elegant Leading Ladies

May 4th, 2014 would have been this Hollywood Actress' 84th birthday. In her honor, today we're taking a look back at her most memorable fashion moments.

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

If you looked at Google today (it's May 4th just in case you're about to check the date) you would have seen that the Google symbol is to an actress who is very near and dear to our heart: Audrey Hepburn. Today would have been her 85th birthday and even though she's no longer around, her influence certainly left a lasting impression. From movies that are cultural references despite being made in the 60's (Breakfast at Tiffany's anyone?) to her humanitarian work with UNICEF to the LBD, bits and pieces of Audrey can be seen throughout numerous cultural and social circles.

Today we would like to focus on the impact that she had on fashion. As one of the original 'Style Icons', Audrey has shown us that a chic, ladylike look is here to stay. Join us as we take a look at some of her most memorable moments, both on and off screen and let us know how this gamine actress has influenced your style choices.

Audrey was many things: a great actress, an advocate for children, a fan of short hair and most certainly, a stylish woman.

Whether she's rocking a menswear look with a plaid jacket and bowtie, winning an Oscar for Best Actress for her work in Roman Holiday in a Givenchy Dress or simply at a dress fitting, Audrey knew which looks worked for her while being fearless about trying something new.

Funny face was a film in love with fashion and gave us many ladylike silhouettes and prints although we're especially fond of the Givenchy gown on the right.

Though she's not showing a lot of skin (especially compared to outfits these days), Audrey still turned heads everywhere she went. From a simple button down tucked into a pleated skirt while filming Roman Holiday to a double-breasted coat while on a trip to Rome to a gorgeous sundress (sans shoes) to play golf, she stuck with what she knew worked for her and never compromised.

Perhaps one of the most famous characters she ever played, Audrey's interpretation of Holly Golightly gave the world something to remember for years and years to come. The Little Black Dress was born on the set of Breakfast at Tiffany's and has been a staple in women's closets ever since.

Formal gowns always looked so very classy on Audrey - from shot for a promotion to the still shot of War and Peace, this leading lady was the perfect fashion muse.

The fashion in My Fair Lady (left) certainly got our attention although it was a bit removed from Audrey's normal choices as seen on the right.

Happy 84th birthday, Audrey! You may be gone but your influence has certainly been lasting!

When it comes to building a wardrobe, most people (including us!) purchase their foundation pieces first - solid pencil skirts, tailored jackets, button down shirts, the most incredible fitting pair of pants - before they start choosing more creative pieces with personality. It's safe to say that we have plenty of basics and these days when we go shopping we're looking for something special. Embellishment, a fun sculptural shape, bold patterns and innovative textures all catch our eye and are begging to be taken to the fitting room for a chance to make it into our closet.

Burberry Prorsum is known for luxury in the form of absolutely beautiful clothes and Spring/Summer 2014 is no exception. The jewels used to embellish skirts, jackets and coats are anything but subtle and are sure to garner plenty of attention from approving women while the fit will turn every man's head you walk by. T-shirts and button downs were simple in comparison but still made an impact in lace and patterns while the entire collection's colors were completely warm-weather appropriate in pastels, a few metallics along with stripes and polka dots.

This year is all about the absence of boring. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try some look-at-me pieces while channeling Burberry and keeping things chic with classic silhouettes. We're devising ways to get our hands on every pencil skirt shown while the reinterpretation of the classic Burberry trench has us falling in love with the brand all over again.
