If you haven't been to an actual baseball game whether it's major league, minor league or even just a high school or college game, you're missing out on a great all-American past-time ( international folks, feel free to participate too! It's fun, we promise!). The hotdogs are amazing - seriously, they must add a little extra awesomeness when they cook them because ours at home don't taste that good - and for some reason the beer is always so much better when you're sitting in the stands hoping for Upton to make the hit that wins the game in the 10th.

Since we live a few short hours from Atlanta, a Braves game was a complete no-brainer. Talk about a fun-filled weekend with Mr. Harbin, our brother (and baseball extraordinaire whom we asked 50 million questions throughout the game), his lovely wife and their 10 month old daughter who is obviously going to be a huge Braves fan if her performance at the game is an indicator - talk about well behaved! It really doesn't get much better than that. Our niece had the world's cutest Braves shirt on and Mr. Harbin got himself a new hat at the game (doesn't get much more authentic than that). These wardrobe choices are simple enough for adorable baby girls and handsome husbands, but what exactly is a fashion-forward girl like yourself to wear? You know we have the answers.

Since talking about any team other than the Braves would be considered blasphemy, we're going to focus on their palette of red, navy and white but feel free to chance up the colors as necessary for whatever team you pull for. While we saw plenty of girls in Braves jerseys paired with shorts and coifed hair, we prefer to think outside the box and get a little more creative. Well that and the fact that we don't actually own a Braves jersey and they are expensive! For us, the solution was obvious: rock something red, navy or white. Or all of the above.

Never one to blend in, a short, red mini-dress was the perfect piece for our Braves game adventure. Since it was going to get a little cool once the sun went down about the same time the 7:30pm game started we opted to bring a white and navy jacket to combat the chill. If a red dress isn't already in your arsenal you can always pair slim fitting pants or shorts in red, navy or white with a top in a contrasting color.

| We were as excited about getting dressed for the game as we were to watch the game! Pairing a red mini-dress with a blue Marc Jacobs bag and ankle booties made for the perfect outfit to cheer the Atlanta Braves on to victory over the Nationals. |
Now is certainly not the time to debut that your new pair of stilettos - as with pretty much any sporting event you're going to be jumping to your feet cheering on your team. We're not saying you have to wear sneakers or even flats but do make sure your shoes are comfy enough to do some serious walking and standing in - especially if you're going to be taking the shuttle to and from the Marta station. We opted for ankle booties with a low(er) heel and cheeky socks. Were they as comfy as tennis shoes would have been? Of course not, but they were super cute!

What made for the most memorable girls? Those with standout hair and makeup. Whether you rock a pretty platinum blonde bob flat-ironed to perfection or natural curly hair with a winged eyeliner, there should be at least a little sex appeal there. Want our 'can't-go-wrong' look? A swipe of black liner paired with a 'Go Braves' red lip. They'll win every time.
