Elle has totally nailed it for Spring. Pretty fabrics, bold yet feminine florals, fresh shapes, a Daisy from The Great Gatsby lookalike...the HotHouse Flower editorial spread is absolute perfection. And it certainly does it's job: there isn't a single outfit that we don't want to add to our closets.
In shades of pink, lavender and nude, this spread is in full bloom just like the weather outside. The silhouettes are re-interpretations of those we've seen in the past from pretty boleros paired with pencil skirts to the fresh concept of a jacket/cardigan to high waisted hotpants that somehow feel sophisticated paired when paired with crop tops.
The blonde beauty looks incredible in everything and we can't help but be reminded of Carey Mulligan's portrayal of Daisy for last summers hit The Great Gatsby. Though the shapes could have easily gone vintage, the headscarves, hats, bags and jewelry keep things very much in 2014. Pick up the March 2014 issue of Elle to see all the photos!
Thanks to Heels and Bells for the photos and check out the March issue of Elle for the entire spread!

For Spring, try a mostly monochromatic outfit with interesting textures and a pop of color in unexpected accessories - we're dying to try out a headscarf! |
More is more when it comes to accessories these days. Keep your outfit from looking cluttered by making sure everything is in a complimentary color palette. |
Florals never go out of style and this abstract cherry blossom pattern is perfect for diving in to Spring. |
Mix things up with styling: pair your favorite cocktail dress with keds and a fedora for a lunch date out al la Carrie Bradshaw. |
