Rochas never fails to impress. It was Marco Zanini's last show before he headed over to Schiaparelli and he certainly went out with a loving, beautifully gilded bang. We're a sucker for girly clothes, sure menswear-inspired pieces are great and there is room in our heart for them, but our passion is looking like the beautiful, articulate, sweet yet powerful ladies that we are. And that's exactly what Rochas Spring 2014 lady looked like: sure of her sexuality but also completely aware of the control she has over other people.
With straight-forward shapes and fantasy-inspired fabrics the collection is an exercise in grown-up princess. Pastels ruled the runway in shades of citrus, pale pink and beige along with powder blues and silver. The Stepford wives have come into their own - they're still perfect, they just have an attitude this go round.
