Just like the clothes you choose to wear, your makeup and how you style your hair, where you live and what it looks like says a lot about you and your personality. Currently we have an awesome loft-inspired apartment on the third floor. While we do love it, it's not exactly our dream house. Well, that and the fact that we don't actually want a house. We can't see us and Mr. Harbin living in a traditional beautiful home with a yard and a fence. It's just not us. We're more adventurous than that.
Inspired by our recent trip to Atlanta, a conversation with Mr. Harbin ended with us agreeing that moving to Atlanta in a few years would be a fantastic idea. An open concept condo - a loft would be perfect! - would give us plenty of space to express ourselves with the freedom to move things around and live a little outside the box, or as the case would have it, outside the bedrooms. We're completely in love with the idea of wood floors, exposed brick and diy makeovers and projects. Although this won't happen for at least a few years, we've already started the research and compiling our inspiration for the decor-to-be. Come see some of our favorites from all over the Internet (thanks Pinterest!).
Our recent weekend trip to Atlanta has inspired us to the fullest extent. Although we've been there several times, this time it was different. It was magical. |
We love the idea of complete and total freedom - which for us means no real walls. While it's nice to have some division of space, we prefer see-through dividers like these wooden and glass doors. |
Brighter colors make us happy and serve a dual purpose of making this kitchen and dining room/bar area seem larger. |
Open concept doesn't have to equal zero privacy. Get creative with your room dividers: see through bookshelves, mirrored panels and drapes are all wall-free options. |
Who wouldn't love this space? Open and full of natural light it's our perfect place to spend each and every night. |
A perfect home includes a perfect bathroom and we think we've found it here. Chances are we won't get so lucky when we're looking for a place but a girl can dream! |
