Bright and Bold

Kate Spade's Paris-Inspired Spring 2014 New Arrivals

10:31 PM

Long known for its sense-of-humor take on handbags, accessories and clothing, Kate Spade has been a personal favorite of ours for years.  One of the best parts about the line is that there's always something new whether you're in stores or online.  And ever since a store opened on Savannah's Broughton Street this past summer a large chunk of our paycheck has gone towards brightly colored purses with strategically placed bows, glittery shoes, idiom bracelets and girly skirts.  It's a sure fire way to boost your mood the second you put them on.  To help you figure out exactly what to spend your hard-earned cash on, we've compiled our favorites from the new arrivals.  Enjoy!

Handbags

Not just known for tongue-in-cheek bags (although we do love those!), Kate Spade does have dozens of styles of grown-up girly purses in dozens of shapes.  Think professional without taking yourself too seriously.  Black bags with a perfectly placed bow.  Or a bright pink bag.  We don't really like too serious around here.

Looking for a semi-serious boost to your bag wardrobe?  Try the 2 Park Avenue Darling in bright pink ($328) or the Carroll Park Fabric Mini Penelope ($268).  Keep your purse organized with internal compartments like the 2 Park Avenue Large Bella Pouch ($148)

But then, we can also appreciate a sense of humor.  Like we said...nothing too serious!

We refuse to take ourselves too seriously and instead of just another black bag try something that makes you smile.  Ooh La La Bellini Heart Clutch ($248), Never Ending Love Story Clutch ($328) and Sedgewick Place Tweed Fairlee ($428)

Clothing
Spring pretty much screams the need for bright, bold colors in your wardrobe.  Consider adding these pieces to lighten things up a bit!
Girly Dresses and Tops at Kate Spade Spring 2014
We're drooling over this bright pink Roset dress that we're willing to bet Barbie herself would have endorsed ($448) and this not-so-serious Je Ne Sais Quoi t-shirt ($58)
Pink Coats and Skirts for Kate Spade Spring 2014
Keep warm on those cool Spring evenings with a stylish topper like this Dorothy Coat ($698) or dress up a simple tee with a hot pink Gene Skirt ($398)

Who can say no to tights? Especially ones with hearts or bows?  Use these as transition pieces for when the weather finally starts to warm up.

We can't resist a cute pair of tights.  Besides, a mini-skirt with tights is basically the same as wearing pants, right?  Heart Jacquard Tights ($30) and Happily Ever After Tights ($36)

Jewelry
It's just not Kate Spade without new jewelry.  The entire collection was inspired by travels to Paris and while that's a more subtle influence in the pretty mint watches, it was a more in-your-face inspiration in the charm and idiom bracelets.  The "mrs" and "taken" bracelets?  We figured there might still be a few guys out there trying to figure out what to get their lovely ladies for the big V-day coming up.  You're welcome.
