Did someone say shoes?

Don't get us wrong, we are excited about the SJP line finally being available the end of this month but to be completely honest we were a tiny bit underwhelmed by the actual shoes once the pictures started circulating. Admittedly this is our fault, we expected the collection to be something Carrie Bradshaw would have come up with and we forget that Carrie is (gasp!) a character and the collection is Sarah Jessica Parker's collaborative effort.  Once you get past that little detail, the collection is actually quite beautiful, even if a tiny bit too lady-like for our varied tastes.  At least a third of the collection we adore and they're guaranteed to be high quality, especially for the price point ($195-$495).

Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to create shoes that aren't already on the market and while they aren't as fun as we would have liked, they are beautifully chic.  We can't wait to see them in person! It's not exactly news that high-end designers team up with stores that cater to a slightly larger audience (think Target and well, everyone) but what is news is the Truly Zac Posen for David's Bridal.  Actually it's very exciting.  For one it's Zac Posen.  Yes, the guy who dresses those fabulous women at awards shows - Sofia Vergara pops into mind with that stunning black gown at this years Golden Globes.

We've all seen the runway shows that left your jaw on the floor and your heart beating a little faster than normal and you trying to do some creative math to see just how much you would have to skimp for the next six months just to afford one teeny tiny little piece.  Well now is your chance - these dresses are not only stunning they are also affordable with the wedding dresses ranging from $875 to $1350 and come in sizes 0 to 26 and the social dresses ranging from $195 to $225 and coming in sizes 0 to 14.  Gorgeous and available to those who aren't model-thin.  I'm not sure it gets much better than that.

What's most exciting is that it LAUNCHES TOMORROW on February 6th!  So ladies, if you're thinking about getting married or renewing vows or you're like me and really just want to see those gorgeous gowns, head on over to David's Bridal on your lunch break tomorrow (or you could make an appointment, that works too).  Known for his beautiful fit and flair gowns, detailed construction and feminine embrace of a woman's curves, Zac Posen doesn't disappoint with these bridal gowns.
