In the past few months, Dior has done quite well when it comes to the their makeup campaigns and we quite adore the blonde model they're using (the Russian beauty's name is Sasha Luss). So when we caught a glimpse of bright pink eyeliner we were certainly intrigued. And then confused when we realized that she was holding pink mascara although she is definitely wearing black. Further research was required.
Upon inspection of Dior's website, we were interested to find out that this ad campaign is launching not one, but two new products: It-Lash (mascara) and It-Line (eyeliner) in four bold colors. How fabulous.

We haven't gotten out hands on either product just yet so we have a few reservations: first and foremost, how vibrant are the colored shades of mascara? In our personal experience, almost every colored mascara whether it's purple, blue or bright turquoise is actually quite subtle when you put it on, making it have less of an impact than one might think. And since Sasha here doesn't actually have any of the colored mascara on, we don't even have a photo to judge. Hmmm...
Our other concern deals with the eyeliner and is a simple matter of personal preference: it's a dip-in applicator as opposed to an automatic tip. Eyeliner is one of those things that takes practice; the chances of someone getting liquid liner correct on the first try is practically nonexistent. Even though this is technically a gel formula, we know that a dip applicator can be quite difficult for even seasoned veterans of the makeup world when it comes to figuring out just how much is on the tip verses how much you actually need to line the windows to your soul. Minor reservations aside, we're loving the bright bold pink, blue and purple shades.
