Last weekend we were busy working an event at Chanel helping women enhance their natural beauty, so this weekend we were considering just being lazy, wearing comfy shorts all day and catching up on some of our favorite shows. But when a friend texted, inviting us to come out and help celebrate her birthday downtown with a concert we figured why not? One of the best ways to renew our our mind and spirit would be to grab some dinner somewhere new, hang out with some friends and maybe make a few new ones while checking out a new band.
The choice of restaurant is relatively easy - a Cuban place downtown sounds fantastic and we're always up for trying something new. A new dilemma presents itself though: what exactly do you wear to a concert for a band that's "Americana/Alternative Country and rooted in the Southern experience" at a local dive bar, The Jinx, downtown Savannah, GA? When we can't figure out what the dress code is, we have one style rule: what would Carrie Bradshaw wear? We're not one to shy away from a challenge and with heels on we stand over 6' tall...couple that with long, bright red hair and we're kind of memorable to start with so why bother trying to blend in? We plan on channeling our inner Carrie and donning something that will make us feel both beautiful and confident.
Our outfit of choice? A short navy and orange brocade trumpet skirt, Kate Spade and Darcel graphic tee, suspenders borrowed from our Mr. Harbin and bright socks paired with comfy booties. We're excited to try a new eye makeup paired with big sexy curls keep the girly factor at an all time high. Will it be the most appropriate outfit for a band? We don't know. But we also don't care. Confidence is the best accessory any girl can have - rock it!
