Having been a brand associated with glamor since it's inception in 1981, Carolina Herrera isn't known for participating in trends or coming up with bold new shapes. Instead, the brand prides itself on a current interpretation of classics while using luxurious fabrics and feminine shapes. Spring 2014 is no exception - classy and reminiscent of a modern-day Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly these clothes are beautiful without being boring.
Swirly patterns and blocked stripes gave otherwise laid back garments a certain edge and visual interest without trying too hard. It's a Spring Collection that doesn't take itself too seriously yet still maintains it's elegance - an aristocrat that is approachable but still refined. The subtly sheer inserts with organza overlays give the dresses a certain movement that would have been difficult to achieve with separates while the dressed up bikini keeps things young.
Overall there are several cocktail dresses, a few pairs of pants and quite a number of floor-sweeping gowns that are sure to delight. See the entire collection at Style.
