Classic Black Doesn't Have to Mean Boring

1:28 PM

Please join us in a round of applause for our contributor Jacqueline Harbin, who just finished her first big event with Chanel as a freelance Makeup Artist!  We're so very proud of her making her dreams come true!  The position requires a certain look and those who represent Chanel need a personal style that can be conveyed through black clothing.  Our Jacqueline is very creative and when she heard all black she didn't think boring and basic, she saw it as an opportunity to create some beautiful clothes.  As a budding designer, she knows how to construct some incredible pieces and isn't afraid to step outside the box.

Inspiration hit one day last week and luckily her Pantone sketchbook was nearby, so Jacqueline drew out exactly what she saw in her head - a fluffy tulle and chiffon skirt, floaty dresses and a statement jacket.  Who says that classic black has to mean boring?

Just because you have to wear black doesn't mean you have to be boring.  Stand out in statement pieces that are sure to turn some heads.

With Spring rapidly approaching shorter hemlines are en vogue and a statement jacket is always on trend.  Don't be afraid to create what you want if you can't find it in stores.

Tulle, netting, silk and chiffon?  Sounds like some luxurious black pieces are about to come to life at the hands of our very own Jacqueline Harbin.  We can't wait to see the end result!
