One of the first things that we do when it goes close to the beginning of a new month is check out the fashion magazines - Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, you name it, we have issues going back, uh, years. One day we will find a project on Pinterest that will give us something to do with all those old volumes - if you have ideas, feel free to send them our way! Regardless, these days we have a new publication to add to our list: beauNU Magazine.
Revolving around everything art and fashion, beauNU was founded in 2013 and has been creating magic ever since. What makes it so special compared to all the other art and fashion mags out there? Anyone can submit their series and they don't discriminate: beauty, fashion, art, whatever, send it to the magazine's email address along with back story for the photos, photographer, hair, makeup and any other assistants and cross your fingers. The series' that we have seen have been absolutely amazing - from beauty shots to conceptual pieces there's guaranteed to be something you'll love. Check out beauNU's Facebook page to stay the most up-to-date on publications and submissions. Although at the moment the publication isn't on shelves at your local bookstore, you can purchase digital versions from MagCloud for a minimal price and print issues for a slightly higher price tag.
How exactly did we hear about beauNU? Our very own Jacqueline Harbin is featured in the April 2014 edition in the "Going Mad" series, a collaborative effort with one of our favorite photographers, Starla Little of Starla Dawn Photography. The photos were taken back in the beginning of March this year at Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA featuring a slightly crazy-looking Jacqueline in a stunning black gown with untamed curls, dark eyes and bright lips...we can't get enough of the pictures - Starla Dawn Photography is truly amazing.
