We've made it obvious that we're mildly completely obsessed with Chanel - that includes their handbags. Seeing the Spring 2014 Collection on the runway and ad campaign already won us over but getting to take a closer look at the bags featured pushed us over the edge. Bright colors, bold textures, laid-back backpacks, embellished minaudières...gorgeous.
We're loving the black and white artist portfolios paired with the artist-inspired dresses and the brightly colored cube crossbody bags, especially when paired with an effortlessly bold outfit. Canvas backpacks are anything but boring knapsacks with their paintbrush strokes and colorful bungees while minaudières covered in mirrors or pearls are the perfect choice for a fancy night out. With a price tag that isn't nearly as pretty as the bags themselves, these bags are certainly investment pieces so choose wisely!
Chanel's Spring 2014 Collection has heavily influenced by painting - from watercolor ombre handbags, brushstroke dresses and actual artist portfolios. |
These black and ivory portfolios are stunning to start with but the extra bows and Chanel logos give them a certain je ne se quoi. |
Need an alternative to the same clutch you've been carrying for the past few seasons? These embellished minaudières are a perfect way to upgrade your evening look. |
This pink and orange clutch is anything but demure girly thanks to a modern shape and finish. |
Backpacks get a glamorous makeover with painted canvas, colorful bungees and carabiners and strategically placed Chanel logos. |
Watercolor treatments were seen throughout the collection - these small bags are a nice way of getting a subtle pop of color for Spring. |
Who says you have to limit yourself to one bag? Although it may not be the most practical, one larger carryall paired with a smaller complimentary purse is a surefire way to update your look. |
