We love fashion shows and while we always appreciate the fashion regardless of what it looks like (we said appreciate!) or what event it may be appropriate for, we really love fashion shows that have clothes that are something that we would wear out and about on a regular basis. We're in our twenties, fun, energetic, girly and bold - we love Alexander McQueen and Chanel and Dior but sometimes we can't think of where we would wear those gorgeous pieces but if someone wants to whisk us off to New York or LA for some fabulous parties we won't complain at all! So when Prada's sister brand Miu Miu launched their Spring 2014 runway show in Paris, we were beyond excited to see young, fun, fresh clothes that we could wear out downtown with our friends or on date just as soon as you might see them out at a movie premiere on Lupita Nyong'o or Elle Fanning.
Gorgeous coats in pastels with pops of bold color have us certain that we can wait out whatever nasty weather is left before the clouds part and it warms up for good while the knit tights in a myriad of colors are sure to keep our legs warm in tiny mini skirts. Ranging from mid-thigh to knee length, fitted to flared and textures ranging from wool to leather, the covetable skirts were paired with gorgeous lace up suede boots and chunky ankle-strap pumps and sandals. The details were there too - from fun and flirty prints (who doesn't want a cat coat?) to intricate beading that moved beautifully on the runway, Miuccia Prada thought of everything.
All in all, the Miu Miu Spring 2014 Collection is by far our favorite as far as clothing we could actually wear out and about on a regular basis without losing the whimsy that is so important to fashion. See the entire collection at Style and be sure to check out the Miu Miu Spring 2014 Campaign.
