To be honest, we, like many others, had no idea who Lupita Nyong'o was until she showed up at the Golden Globes in that perfect red gown. From there on out, so far there hasn't been a single misstep and we're all waiting to see what she will wear next. Mexico-born, Nairobi-raised and now based out of Brooklyn, Luptia (whose name is exceptionally fun to say) has shown us that she is a force to be reckoned with regarding not only her acting skills, but her style sense as well.
Though we haven't seen 12 Years a Slave yet, we're hoping that Lupita Nyong'o's acting skills are as fantastic as her fashion sense. We can't wait to see what she wears for the Academy Awards!
Let's take a look at her award-winning sense of fashion over the past few months:
The dress that got everyone talking was a caped red Calvin Klein number...we haven't been able to stop obsessing over her ever since. |
A blue-green Gucci gown with stunning floral accents |
In Chanel at the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit |
In a beige, one-shoulder Stella McCartney cocktail dress at the 25th Annual Producers Guild Awards |
After so many right fashion moves it only makes sense that Luptia Nyong'o is becoming a muse to the fashion houses. Expect to see many more upcoming campaigns like this one from Miu Miu Spring 2014. |
Not only one of the hottest rising stars in Hollywood right now, she has also been named to Vogue's Best Dressed list |
Keeping up with her perfect "A" fashion average in a green Christian Dior gown at the 2014 BAFTA Awards |
