New York Fashion Week has spoken and the trends are out...Spring fashion is often a literal interpretation of flowers blooming and the rest of nature renewing itself (remember last years prints and bold colors?) but this year it looks like many designers were more inspired by the snow that is still falling in many places. While there is usually some white in Spring collections this year the overwhelming color was, well, the lack thereof.
From beautiful flowing gowns to structured separates to sexy mini-dresses white dominated the runway in every form. Though dressing in monochromatic white can be seen as minimal and simple, the look is anything but boring. When choosing pieces look for interesting shapes and details - be bold! Black isn't what is slimming, it's more the cut than the color so make sure your white ensemble fits perfectly and you'll be turning heads all Spring!
