Along with Chanel, Marchesa is one of our absolute favorite designers, especially when it comes to evening gowns. Maybe it's simply because designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are drawn to tulle and sheer gorgeousness as much as we are, but regardless of the reason, we're in love with their Spring 2014 take on ladylike elegance.

Marchesa has always had a flair got the dramatic with ruffles and pleating and embroidery which is why we were a little surprised at the relatively tame nature of this Spring collection. Just as gorgeous as always, the garments seem to take themselves a little less serious and appear effortless. Look for light, airy fabrics in shades of ivory, light gray, baby yellow and powder blue with dainty details like embroidery, lace and tiers. Oh and did we mention we love the feathers in the models' hair?

A baby blue slip dress with chiffon accents is incredibly gorgeous without being overworked |
Off the shoulder, sheer and flower appliques? What more could we ask for? |
Sheer and oh-so-very sexy while still being classy shows that sexy doesn't have to be skin-tight or overly revealing |
To sum up Marchesa's Spring 2014 Collection in one word? Effortless. |
A look from Marchesa Spring 2014 that could easily be integrated into any girls wardrobe - a sheer baby yellow lace skirt and a relaxed chiffon top. |
Our favorite from the Spring 2014 Marchesa Collection, this evening gown in the lightest shade of blue-gray is whimsical and flattering at the same time. |
We're a fan of over-the-top fashion and just couldn't resist this skirt |
We admit this dress might not be the most flattering but it is nothing short of a work of art. |
The intricate top is balanced by a pair of exquisite shorts under a sheer black tulle skirt. A day out on the town shopping? Yes please! |
